About West Michigan Kayaking Club
West Michigan Kayaking Club brings paddlers together to explore the rivers and lakes that make Michigan an outdoor playground. Founded by Brad De Young and Tim Postma, the club started as a small circle of kayaking friends and has grown into a welcoming community focused on adventure, fitness, and time on the water. We organize group paddles, social meetups, and skill-building opportunities for all experience levels-from relaxed scenic floats to more active, challenging routes. Our goal is simple: get outside, stay active, and connect with others who share a love for kayaking.
